A very impressive wine from this new viticultural area. Very deep crimson mauve colour. Superb nose of violets, blackberry, cedar and mulberry. The palate has excellent weight and length, concentrated flavour of spice, prunes and figs, over layers of blackberries and liquorice. Fine grained, dryish tannins, but perfectly balanced. Very long aftertaste of prunes, stewed fruit, blackberries, spice and liquorice. Cellar 4 – 5 years.
