Very deep crimson colour, with mauve edges. The wine displays an excellent lifted aroma of earth, truffle, blackberry, liquorice and spice. The palate has depth and persistence, with inky blackberry flavours over liquorice and plum followed by a dark chocolate back palate. Velvet smooth tannins with an aftertaste of liquorice, toasted oak, plum and chocolate. Cellar 3-4 years.
