1999 Bleasdale Mulberry Tree Cabernet Sauvignon

Bleasdale seem to be on a roll with the release of yet another very impressive red. Very deep crimson mauve colour. Excellent nose, almost perfumed, with aroma of spice, violets and blackcurrant, followed by hints of cedar, liquorice, earth and cinnamon. The palate displays complexity with excellent toasted oak overtones. Flavours of blackcurrant, vanilla and spice, with cinnamon, earth and stewed fruit back palate. Excellent length and depth. Perfect balance, with very long aftertaste of cinnamon, oak and spice. Its hardly surprising to find that the wine was awarded a gold medal in the highly competitive Adelaide show. Cellar 3-4 years.
