1999 Blass Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir

Wine maker, Caroline Dunn has tried very hard to exhaust as much Pinot Noir character as possible from this wine, and almost succeeds. Very deep crimson colour, with mauve ruby edge. The nose displays appealing aromas of spice, cherry and liquorice. The palate has excellent weight and velvet smooth texture. Flavours of cherry, spice, stewed fruit and liquorice, with the flavours beginning to build on the back palate. Silky smooth tannins, followed by cherry spice aftertaste. A well made, soft, flavoursome, light red. Cellar 2-3 years.
