Tired, jaded palate, sick of Cabernet, bored with Shiraz, indifferent to Grenache, and revolted by Pinot- one might say you’re in serious trouble and in desperate need of a major jolt to realign the nose and palate. This is the wine to do it. It is the near perfect example of Chambourcin and as good as our very best from Cassegrain. The variety was cloned from unknown vines, and thus far, its parentage is a secret. Opaque, crimson, mauve, purple colour- just outstanding and with paint like cling to the glass. Magnificent, powerful varietal nose. Aroma of ink, spice, raspberry, and cinnamon- unforgettable. Huge palate flavours, monumental structure, yet perfectly balanced. Flavours of spice, blackpepper, ink, liquorice, raspberry, and blackberry. Fine grained tannins, excellent balance, with a very long aftertaste of cherry, ink, liquorice, cinnamon and spice. Cellar 3-4 years. AN OUTSTANDING RED!
