1999 Bannockburn Pinot Noir

Gary Farr’s obsession with producing top quality wines which are inspired by his French counterparts, is well known. This is a fine Pinot Noir. Medium body, brick red colour. Complex layered nose with aroma of strawberry, game and dried figs, with just a trace of stalk. The palate builds and displays good length and power, with considerable complexity although without great depth. Flavours of spice, cherries, game and dried figs are counter pointed by subtle oak and a stalky end palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
