1999 Bannockburn By Farr Pinot Noir

This is an outstanding Pinot Noir from Gary Farr’s own vineyard at Bannockburn near Geelong. Medium body, brick red colour. The wine has an excellent nose and palate displaying intense aroma of game, raspberry, spice and subtle toasted oak with very pronounced varietal character which extends onto the palate. Excellent mouthfilling flavour with a classic Pinot Noir flavour wave building all over the palate. Strong flavours of cherry, spice, strawberry and toasted oak. Velvet smooth tannins, followed by very long spice, game and cherry aftertaste. A great effort. Cellar 3-4 years.
