1999 ADW Sheeraz Limestone Coast Shiraz

The Shiraz for the 2nd 'Sheeraz' was sourced by ADW from the vineyards of Wirrega in the south-east of South Australia. The significant development and potential of this vineyard was bought to our attention by Scott Collett of Woodstock in McLaren Vale.The wine was made by Ben Glaetzer from the Barossa Valley and was crafted with a directive to use minimal oak handling and to highlight the variety intensity of this outstanding fruit.

Tasting Notes: Very dark crimson red colour, bright purple edge. On the nose there are aromas of wild fennel / rosemary, violets, dark blood plum & blueberry, white pepper.The palate is big and rich, smooth fine grained palate, very dry finish with flavours of intense ripe black fruits, molasses, exotic spices and rosemary.
