1998 Zema Estate Cluny

Made from a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Malbec and 15% Cabernet Franc. This is the sixth release of the Cluny blend, and although the vintage was exceptional, this wine misses the beat.Deep crimson mauve colour with brick red hues. Aroma of mint, blackcurrant and spice with a slightly herbaceous end note. On the palate the ripe blackcurrant, spice and mulberry flavours abound but are marred again with a vegetal end palate flavour. Soft tannin structure with leafy blackcurrant, spice aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
