Yarra Yering vineyard and winery is set in what many regard as the best site in theYarra Valley for red wine grapes. Established just on 30 years ago by Dr BaileyCarrodus, his wines have captured the imagination of wine drinkers both in Australiaand in world markets. Their ability to age for many years is evidence by theirpostion of ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Excellent-A’ for the Dry Red No 1 and Dry Red No 2respectively in the Langton’s Official classification of Australian Wines.

Made from a blend of 95% Shiraz, 2.5% Marsanne and 2.5% Viognier. Deep ruby red colour with a crimson/purple hue. Intense and complex nose with concentrated sweet black fruits and notes of olive, reminiscent of Hermitage. Tight structure with superb palate structure and very good length, lovely fruit sweetness. 13.2% alcohol.
