1998 Yalumba D Cuvee Methode Champenoise

An excellent sparkling wine blended from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. The wine pours with an excellent mousse followed by profuse fine bead. Bright straw colour. The nose reveals distinct yeast autolysis character with hints of cashew and biscuit over a citrus end note. Creamy palate texture. Excellent yeast lees flavours followed by biscuit and a touch of grapefruit and winter strawberries. Clean acid finish followed by aftertaste of biscuit, citrus and yeast lees.
