From Cru vineyards in the Colli Senesi zone in the province of Siena, located in central Italy, in the region of Tuscany. The grapes go through a rigorous selection process before traditional fermentation. Then the wine is matured for two years in small and medium French oak before spending a further year in the bottle before release. A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo.
Try With: Stuffed quail served with Polenta also Eggplant lasagna.

TASTING NOTE: Brick red colour with crimson hue. Medium body. Delicate perfumed nose with nuances of spice, stewed fruit, truffle and confectionary. The palate is showing some developed tertiary flavour profiles with earth and spice to the fore followed by a ripe plum back palate. Fine, dry, firmish tannins but without overshadowing the fruit. Aftertaste of stewed plum, prune, leather and spice.
