1998 Taylors Shiraz

Every now and again Taylors get their winemaking absolutely spot on - the 1998 Shiraz is an example of such a wine. Winner of a Gold Medal at the 1999 International Wine Challenge, this wine represents outstanding value for money.Deep crimson colour with mauve edges. The nose displays strong varietal character with inky blackberry, blackpepper, plum and spice aroma, supported by a vanillan oak background. The palate flavours are excellent and mouthfilling, dominated by plum, blackpepper and spice. Perfect balance, supported by fine grained tannins and very long aftertaste of plum, liquorice, blackpepper and spice. Cellar 3-5 years.
