1998 Skillogalee Cabernets

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Very deep, brick red crimson colour. Aroma of spice, blackcurrant and a hint of tea leaf, with a violet end note. The palate is disjointed at this stage and will require several years to integrate. Flavours of blackcurrant, vanilla and plum are overshadowed by dry, very firm tannins, which linger long into the aftertaste. Some bitterness on the back palate. Cellar 3-4 years.
