1998 Sevenhill Cabernet Sauvignon

The Jesuit Fathers are very blessed! Their run of absolutely top class wine is exceptional and would embarrass many larger producers. Outstanding opaque crimson purple colour. A joy to behold. Perfumed nose filled with aromas of mixed berries, blackcurrant spice and fresh liquorice. The palate is just as impressive as the colour and nose. Totally mouthfilling with ripe fruit, spice, blackpepper and blackcurrant with nuances of dark chocolate. Perfect tannin structure - soft, velvet smooth with again a perfect balance of component parts. Very long liquorice, blackcurrant spice aftertaste. Cellar 8-10 years.Yet another exceptional red that clearly demonstrates the power of the 1998 vintage.
