Great Western, Victoria, AUSTRALIA
$24. 99

$299.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

This is the first Cabernet to be released under the Great Western label, although there have been Seppelt Cabernets in the past. A dry winter was followed by heavy Spring rains, which were then followed by good, dry growing conditions throughout the growing and ripening conditions. The wine has been matured for 20 months in Allier and Nevers French oak barriques.

Opaque, brick red colour with crimson hue. Aroma of violets and cedar, almost perfumed, followed by end notes of blackcurrant and dark cherries. On the palate, flavours of smokey oak, dark cherries and blackcurrant flavours. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance, followed by a very long cedar, blackcurrant aftertaste.
