1998 Seppelt Drumborg Vineyard Chardonnay

Seppelt pioneered Drumborg in South West Victoria, as a viticultural area way back in 1964. The early years proved to be very difficult, with vigour problems and very late vintages. The 1998 Chardonnay is surprisingly the first still Chardonnay to be released from Drumborg as previously the Chardonnay was used to produce Sparkling wine. This is a magnificent wine.

Brilliant straw colour, with intense aroma of butterscotch, biscuit, cashews and melon. Mouthfilling palate flavours with creamy texture. Superb flavours of melon, spice and ripe cantaloupe. Excellent length and balance with soft acid finish and very long melon, spice cantaloupe aftertaste.
