1998 Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay

A very impressive Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay, reflecting the excellent vintage conditions. Generous ripe fruit flavours fill the nose and mouth. Bright pale straw colour. Intense spicy oak, butterscotch, cashew, tropical fruit and ripe melon aromas. On the palate generous melon, peach and tropical fruit flavours are well integrated by a pronounced (yet balanced) spicy oak background. Mouthfilling. Clean crisp acidity, followed by long spicy, tropical fruit, cashew and butterscotch aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
