Vibrant, crimson mauve colour - intense lifted fresh spicy inky blackberry liquorice nose. The palate has good weight and mouthfeel with distinct flavours dominated by inky blackberry followed by a hint of liquorice on the back palate. Persistent flavours, soft tannins and very long spicy inky aftertaste. Great early drinking!

RETASTED 25/03/1999: An excellent example of youthful early drinking Shiraz. Deep crimson purple colour. Youthful nose with aromas of liquorice allsorts, spice, blackberry and ripe plum followed by a dusty Cabernet end note. Beautiful, mouthfilling ripe 'sweet' berry flavours fill the mouth. The palate is dominated by the flavour of freshly crushed blackberries followed by a liberal sprinkling of black peppers and freshly crushed blood plums. Soft tannins - excellent balance, with a hint of liquorice and spice on the aftertaste. Enjoy over the next 2-3 years.
