1998 Prince Albert Pinot Noir

The 1998 Prince Albert Pinot Noir in lighter than the 1997, however, is still filled with very distinct varietal flavour. Medium body with crimson colour and mauve edges. The nose is unmistakable Pinot Noir with its spicy strawberry and cherry aroma, supported by a touch of gaminess. The palate does not have the weight of the 1997 but in spite of it's elegance, has excellent persistence, delivering very long cherry, spice flavours, which are supported by fine grained tannins. Perfect balance, followed by a cherry, spice, game and liquorice aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
