1998 Preece Cabernet Sauvignon

Generous fruit flavour is the signature of Preece wines. These wines are crafted tocomplete every social occasion. Grapes for this wine were selected from maturevines in two of Victoria’s premium vineyard regions. Conditions thoughout the 1998vintage were ideal: warm and dry. The grapes are grown in a soil which is mainlyred sandy loam, and were harvested in mid - late March. The true character of thegrapes has been emphasised through Mitchelton’s hands on approach to wine making.The Preece range honors Colin Preece, a pioneer in the Australian wine industryand Mitchelton’s founding father.

Plum red colour. The nose displays aromas of dusty ripe blackcurrants mellowed with vanilla and dark chocolate. A nicely rounded palate with plenty of sweet fruit character. Good acid and excellent tannin balance give a soft, smooth finish. Enjoy now or will cellar up to 5 years. 13.5% alcohol volume.
