1998 Peter Lehmann The King AD2019 Vintage Port

Produced from a blend of 52% Shiraz and 48% Touriga Nacionale. Opaque dark brick red colour with deep brick red hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of Christmas pudding, liquorice allsorts, black morello cherry and a hint of prune with fine brandy spirit background notes. Rich luscious flavours of liquorice, blackberry, raisins and spice with some heat from the spirit on the finish. Velvet smooth tannins with long aftertaste of liquorice, spice and brandy spirit. (NB the cork on this bottle had dried out and disintegrated when attempting to extract it).
Cellar 4-5 years (2014-2015).
