1998 Padthaway Estate Eliza Unwooded Chardonnay

This unwooded Chardonnay is influenced more by secondary winemaking flavours than the pristine unwooded fruit flavours of Chardonnay.Bright pale straw colour. The nose displays spicy citrus and grapefruit aromas with a hint of yeast lees. On the palate the yeast and nut flavours tend to dominate, followed by grapefruit and hints of unripe pineapple. Clean, crisp acid finish with yeast, nut aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
