1998 Orlando St. Hugo Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

The market has been waiting for this wine for some months, with the release date being put back several times. The market will not be disappointed with this wine which has already been awarded a GOLD MEDAL & THE MONTGOMERY TROPHY AT THE ADELAIDE WINE SHOW.TASTING NOTE: Totally opaque black crimson colour, with mauve edge. Superb, perfumed nose, filled with violets, confectionary, blackcurrant, spice and cedar. The palate structure is classic Coonawarra Cabernet – restrained, yet at the same time yielding mouthfilling flavours of spice, blackcurrant, blackpepper, dark chocolate, mocha and liquorice. Fine grained, firmish, dry, but perfectly balanced tannins, followed by a very long aftertaste of mocha, dark chocolate, blackcurrant and cedar. Cellar 4-5 years. (2005 – 2006)
