1998 Moss Brothers Margaret River Shiraz

Magnificent colour. Opaque crimson mauve purple colour. Aroma of earth, vanilla, spice and blackberry, followed by a peppery blackberry palate. Quite youthful in flavour, with very firm dry tannin grip which takes over the entire palate and retains its forcefulness right until the very end. The wine is just too young to be drinking at this stage and 5-8 years cellaring will see a great deal of complexity evolve on the palate.
