1998 Middlebrook Chardonnay

Walter Clappis's poetic back labels are rapidly becoming collector pieces reflecting the mans passion for wine and words. This is a full bodied style. Bright pale straw colour. The aroma is that of a barrel fermented Chardonnay with distinct ripe peach and butterscotch notes. On the palate the ripe peach flavours are dominant yet well integrated with vanilla spicy oak. Good palate weight and length, perfect balance with very long butterscotch, vanilla, spice aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
