1998 Kay Brothers Amery Vineyards Grenache

The Grenache for this wine was grown on the Oliver Family's 'Piggery Block' from low yielding non irrigated vines.Bright crimson mauve colour with medium weight and quite youthful in appearance. Inky, raspberry nose with hints of liquorice and spice. On the palate the generous 14.3% alcohol manifests itself with a generous mouthfeel that envelopes the young, inky, raspberry flavours. The tannins are fine, firmish, dry, a little furry and flow into a long inky raspberry aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
