1998 J. Hofstatter Lagrien

Made from the Lagrien grape variety. Medium body, brick red colour. Appealing nose – perfumed with aroma of violets and new leather with hints of earth and confectionery. The palate is quite dry, with flavours of leather, lavender, stewed fruit, spice and earth – an unusual combination of flavours, but very interesting none the less. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance, followed by a very long aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
