This wine is produced from grapes grown at the Five Ashes Vineyard, Margaret River's Southern most vineyard area. Bright pale straw colour. Pronounced nose of unripe gooseberry and pencil shavings with grassy, herbaceous overtones. Grassy, asparagus, capsicum palate flavours all begin well on the front palate, however, fall away towards the back palate leaving behind just a hint of aniseed. The grape tannins appear firmish with a crisp acid finish. Cellar 2-3 years.
