1998 Gembrook Hill Pinot Noir

One look at the colour, and it's an oh! oh! not another wimp! Surprise, Surprise!Light red crimson colour. The nose has immediate appeal and is very distinctive with its varietal definition. There is no doubt that this is a sophisticated pinot. Light aroma of cherry, spice and strawberry with just a hint of game at the end. Excellent mouthfeel with pronounced pinot flavour that fills the mouth, and yes, even has that elusive peacock's tail flavour profile, that we experience only occasionally. Excellent length and depth with concentrated strawberry, spice and game palate flavours. Fine grained, velvet smooth tannins perfect balance, and near perfect aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
