1998 Evans & Tate Two Vineyards Chardonnay

A very classy Chardonnay. Brilliant, pale straw colour. The nose displays sophisticated handling of fruit which is also very apparent on the palate. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit, biscuit, cashews and subtle toasted oak. The palate is refined with excellent juxtaposition and balance of flavour components. Hints of butterscotch, yeast lees, cashews and peach are woven into a creamy texture. Clean acid finish, followed by long spicy oak, butterscotch and citrus finish. Cellar 3-5 years.
