One of the first 1998's to hit the market displaying intense aromatic freshness. A blend of 50% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Riesling, 10% Chenin Blanc and 10% Verdelho. Bright straw colour. Intense fresh aromatic grassy herbaceous nose. The palate is quite full bodied for such a young wine and its character can in part be attributed to the minor grape components. Strong grassy herbaceous palate flavours, displaying complexity, yet restraining any major impact on the minor varieties for flavour contributions - they add depth and length to the palate, but don't appear to influence the flavour range, which is dominated by the more powerful Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp acid finish and long grassy aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
