This wine should have been spectacular, but turned out to be only satisfactory. Medium body, brick red colour. The nose displays some blackcurrant aromas, followed by some charry oak, with a hint of stalkiness as end note. On the palate, flavours of leather, earth, toasted oak and blackcurrant are present. Dry, with firmish tannins finishing with an earthy, charred oak and leather aftertaste. Cellar 4 - 5 years.
