1998 Bullers Sails Shiraz Cabernet Merlot

Richard Buller has developed the Sails Label in order to produce a wine that reflects the best fruit that Rutherglen can produce.Opaque, crimson mauve purple colour. On the nose youthful Shiraz aromas emerge, covering the background layer of ripe mulberry, raspberry, plum, liquorice and spice. The palate is rich and generous, reflecting the full bodied style that Rutherglen has become famous for. The palate shows depth and persistence with distinct spice, a touch of earth and black pepper middle and back palate flavours which lasts long into the aftertaste. Fine grained soft tannins, followed by aftertaste of ripe plum, mulberry and vanilla. One of the very best reds to emerge from Bullers.
