1998 Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet Franc

Opaque brick red colour. On the nose there is a slight hint of tea leaf which reappears on the palate and aftertaste. The tea leaf aroma is followed by notes of sweet ripe plum and stewed fruit. The tannins are fine, soft, but the flavour is set back by the herbaceous tea leaf component which continues onto the aftertaste to be followed by stewed fruit and spice. Cellar 3-4 years.
