Closure: Cork

Vibrant crimson deep purple colour, displaying its youth. Earthy blackcurrant, leather, cedar and vanilla aromas. Medium body weight on the palate with spice, blackcurrant and earthy flavours emerging but lacking concentration. Fine grained dry tannins with lingering leather, earth aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years. The Shiraz is by far the most impressive wine!

Retasted May 2000

Medium body, deep crimson colour with mauve edges. The nose displays some tea leaf aromas over confectionery and farmyard end notes. The palate flavours fade quickly, leaving behind the flavour of farmyard and cowshed with a minty aftertaste. The acid levels appear a touch high for the time being. Cellar 3-4 years.

Retasted: November 2000

Deep crimson brick red colour. An old fashioned nose of spice, mint, farmyard and leather. The palate fruit flavours are overshadowed by very strong animal flavours leaving the blackcurrant and spice flavours in the background. Fine grained, firmish tannins, with an aftertaste of earth, cowshed, leather and mint. Cellar 3-4 years.
