1998 Barossa Valley Estate Spires Chardonnay Semillon

Bright deep straw colour. The nose is most unusual in that it displays aromas of tropical fruit and brandy spirit with peach in the background. The palate has good weight with straightforward peach and tropical fruit palate flavours, a slightly furry finish followed by a warm aniseed, peach aftertaste. At best a commercial wine.

A well made commercial wine. Bright straw colour showing some bottle developed colour. On the nose aroma of tropical fruits over a grassy herbaceous background with confectionery, ripe peach and ripe pineapple end notes. On the palate the flavour of tropical fruit and peach are dominant with a subtle herbaceous end flavour. Soft acid finish. Drink up.
