1998 Amberley Semillon

Particularly fermented in French oak, this is a relatively subdued Margaret River Semillon, yet it displays delightful delicacy. Pale brassy gold colour, indicative of barrel fermentation and showing a hint of oxidation. Delicate grassy, apricot and tropical fruits nose with a hint of vanilla in the background. Light peach, apricot and delicate herbaceous palate flavours with a final trace of aniseed on the back palate and aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.
