1998 Alkoomi Classic Red

Bright medium bodied crimson mauve colour. The nose has a distinct earthy, farmyard aroma which is supported by some spicy end notes. The earthy flavours dominate the palate, but are supported by a ripe plum and stewed fruit background. The acidity appears to be a little on the high side with an earthy green nuance on the finish and aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
