1997 Peter Lehmann Mentor Dry Red

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Shiraz and Merlot. Medium body, crimson brick red colour. The nose is appealing with lifted aroma of vanilla, coconut, cedar and blackcurrant with nuances of spice and aniseed as an end note. The palate has moderate depth of flavour, but without that expected Peter Lehmann exuberance and voluptuous. Flavours of plum, spice, blackcurrants and stewed fruits. Fine, dry firmish tannins, followed by an aftertaste of ripe plums, stewed fruits and spice. Cellar 3 – 4 years.
