An impressive wine, grown on a site with full exposure to sun and a perfect accompaniment to wild venison or boar. (Wild Boar is somewhat of a problem in Australia, although there are plenty in NSW, the problem is that they are all diseased and unsuitable for the table. Experts tell us that the only way to experience the taste of Boar in Australia is to catch a suckling Boar and grain feed it, to ensure that it is free of disease prior to preparing it for slaughter.Deep crimson colour with mauve edge. Perfumed nose with aroma of spice, earth, raspberry, mixed berry and truffle aroma. The palate displays excellent concentration - earth, leather and confectionary, flavours are perfectly integrated by blackpepper back palate flavours. Soft acid finish. Cellar 8-10 years.
