Very deep crimson colour. The deepest of the Rhone wines and regarded as an ‘animal’ wine with its rich robust aroma and flavour. Earthy farmyard nose with nuances of spice and plum. On the palate, generous flavours of earth and leather with pronounced blackpepper back palate. Fine grained tannins, near perfect balance with warm back palate flavours. Long, earthy spice aftertaste.
