1997 Lindemans Coonawarra Pyrus

Made from a blend of 57.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and 11.5% Cabernet Franc the wine was matured in new French oak hogsheads and barriques for 20 months. Deep crimson mauve colour. Perfumed nose of violets, cedar and blackcurrants, showing considerable complexity and very Bordeaux in its structure. Mouthfilling palate flavours, with blackcurrant, cedar, spice and plum flavours in abundance. Dry tannins which linger onto the aftertaste, but are perfectly balanced to the fruit. Excellent length with aftertaste of liquorice and blackcurrant. Cellar 5-8 years
