Made from low yielding unirrigated vines - only 6000 bottles of the 1997 vintage merlot were made. The wine was matured in new French oak barriques for 12 months. This is a top example of Coonawarra Merlot. The palate has excellent concentration and depth of flavour - ripe berry fruit and earthy mulberry flavours with a long velvet smooth finish. Cellar up to 10 years. 14% Alcohol Volume.
