1997 Leasingham Classic Clare Sparkling Shiraz

A developed Sparkling Shiraz with plenty of flavour. The wine opens well with good mousse and a fine persistent bead. Deep brick red base wine, showing bottle age. Top note of old leather, followed by cedar, spice and stewed fruit followed by black pepper end notes. On the palate flavours of old and new leather, followed by plum pudding, raisin and spice over a truffle back palate. Very long spicy aftertaste.
