1997 Hardys Eileen Hardy Shiraz

Notes Sourced from BRL Hardy.This wine is selected and blended from Hardys finest parcels of Shiraz from McLaren Vale (87%) and Padthaway (13%) in South Australia. The wine was vinified using traditional equipment and techniques including small batch open fermenters and basket pressing at Hardys Tintara Winery.Soft Purple hues enhance an intense deep brick red colour, while the ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, mulberry, spearmint and cracked black pepper are complexed by spice and herbal aromas of rosemary, nutmeg, cloves and musk. Lively, powerful and velvety, the palate seduces with an exquisite balance of powerful fruit flavours with hints of liquorice and sage.The finish is well integrated into the body of the wine with fine structured tannins and subtle toasty vanillin oak. Will age gracefully with careful cellaring over the next 7 to 10 years. 14.5% alcohol volume.
