1997 Gordon & Macphail Invergordon 21 Year Old Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength Single Grain Scotch Whisky (700ml)

For a short while, there was a malt whisky distillery in the same complex as Invergordon (est. 1960), but these days the plant produces top quality single grain. Now a part of Whyte & Mackay, the boys and girls at G&M have sourced this all-natural expression, limited to just 218 bottles.

Notes from the bottler.... AROMA: Candied butterscotch aromas mellow into caramelised orange and dried banana chips. Undertones of poached pear harmonise with honeycomb and thick vanilla cream. TASTE: Creamy; mouth-warming freshly cracked black pepper opens into nuances of sugared cereal. Tropical fruit flavours abound; hints of mango, pineapple, and toasted coconut persevere. FINISH: Long with lingering notes of velvety milk chocolate. 55.5% Alc./Vol.
