1997 Clarendon Hills Merlot

Vibrant crimson, colour. The nose displays a perfumed aroma of ripe blackcurrant and spice all carefully embraced by a subtle use of New French oak. The palate displays excellent depth and concentration of flavour, with the sort of intensity one has come to expect from Clarendon Hills. Magnificent ripe blackcurrant fruit, excellent balance, fine grained tannins and very long plum, blackcurrant aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
