1997 Bowen Estate Coonawarra Shiraz

Doug Bowen is back on track with his 1997 red releases. A superb full bodied Coonawarra Shiraz. Opaque crimson colour. Excellent nose with pronounced lifted spicy cedar aromas, supported by strong blackberry and vanilla end notes. Ripe, full bodied palate filled with the flavour of ripe plum, chocolate and spice and enhanced by fine grained dry tannins. Excellent balance followed by very long plum, liquorice and spice aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
