1996 Wilson Vineyard Gallery Series Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep crimson brick red colour. The nose is very attractive, almost perfumed with aromas of violets, blackcurrants, spice, confectionary and hints of earthy leather in the background. The palate has excellent depth of flavour with the Cabernet component dominant, projecting flavours of blackcurrant, liquorice and spice whilst the Merlot extends the palate with its earthy flavours. Fine grained tannins, dry, but in balance to the fruit with long leather, spice, earthy, blackcurrant aftertaste. Cellar 5 - 8 years.
